Chandigarh vat registration

 If one crossesthe taxable quantum ,mentioned in Sec6 of Punjab VAT Act,it becomes necessary to register under VAT law.I think in Chandigarh also the Punjab vat rules are follwed..Voluntary registration is always permitted under all VAT Acts,depending on the need for it. The threshold limit for diffrent dealers vary.For bakery Rs10 lakh,hotels 5lakh,,for interstate delars,importers,casual dealers Re1,for normal retailers Rs50 lakh,manufacturers Rs1 lakh etc.........mjk
