Can u plz suggest
whether a Co registered under Service Tax having output service Repairs & Maintenance take the Cenvat Credit of Excise on the Inputs which are used in the Repairing i.e. in the output services.?
And utilize for the payment of service tax on output service i.e. repairs & Maintenance?
If yes/no then plz support with the relevant provision.

You are not registered with Excise then how you can take cenvat credit.

Registration under central excise not required for availing credit for registered service provider since the ST credit was subsumed into cnevat credit from 2004. Input defintion clearly states- inputs used in providing the service. spares are used in providing the AMC service.
Yes you can avail the credit provided that you do not cliam any abatement and pay ST on the gross amount.
