I am 39 year old BCom graduate  with around 18 years of experience in the field of Accounts,Audit,Taxation & Finance in CA Firm,Corporate and Government sector . Now i am working in the Accounts department of  a central Government autonomous body .

Now i want to do ACCA and shift my career to Multinational Corporate sector.

1)Is it a good decision for my career?

2) Does my diversified experience in Accounts/Finance in various sector give any positive/negative impact on my future corporate career ?

3) Do you think age will be a barrier for me to shift to a corporate job by studying ACCA ?

4) How much ACCA qualification will help me to get a corporate job at this age ? What will be the expected salary ?

The eligibility for ACCA is the Students who have completed 12th from Commerce stream should pass in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics like Accounts, the marks of 65% in at least 2 subjects, and over 50% in the others. The Students pursuing Graduation in Commerce background subjects like BCom, BBA, BMS are also eligible for ACCA Course. ACCA has two exam sessions per year and students can set a maximum of four papers in a session, so you could complete all the exams in 2 years. Practical work would be completed in the next 1 year. The Certification would be complete for 3 years. The alternatives for ACCA are CPA and CA.
