bro v r sailin in d same boat i think,i cleard my 2nd grp nd prp for 1st...mine articlshp was nt gud at al tho i workd for 2 nd half year bt stil i dnt knw much of d things..i hav decided to go aftr xams to my principal nd work sincerely nd prpare a report of few companies nd al the things involvd in d audit of d same with d help of previous audit workin papers nd report nd prepare myself for d intrview...nd also take ur sylabus vry seriously u wil get to knw 90% of d things...dnt wory yar u wil get a job nd tht to of ur choice tc nd al d bst

Friend, this articleship exposure will help you only if you take up a job in any auditing firm or in Accountng, Audit or Taxation. There are many areas where you can take plunge into after CA for which you articles exposure doesnt matter. Read "From CA to CEO" by PattabiRam.V. Hey bro,,u will defntly get a job in Banking sector or smwhrelse easily provided u prepre 4 intrview n 1 more thing mi 3 frnds ver havin entr trainin on dummi n dey cleared in ist attempt n dey r gettin package f 9 lacs initialy ,,,it depends on ur capabilities n strength itslf,,,articlship doesn't realy matter a lot dat itslf been told bi d visitin faculty memberes f ICAI.....

Now u mst not been get tensed n cncentrate on d xms n jz get it clr 1st.....

Thanks to all of u... But like I mentioned I have this whole dream to work in big four so what else apart from ca I should do so that I can get a job in big four.. Like ifrs, diploma in international taxation.... Expecting ur valuable suggestion....

        This is one of the major problem faced by many CA Students. Some students may joined in a reputed Audit Firm for their Articleship and Many students joined in a Small Firm / Individual CA's.
 

But One thing is Sure.................. No One will Know Everything.....................

Some Students completed their Articleship in Big 4's (Audit Section), They didn't know even How to File IT Return and Other Procedures in Income Tax.  But a Student from Small CA Firm's may knows everything in Income Tax But he lacks knowledge about Audit of Companies, Trusts, ROC etc...

 

I agree with Srivatsan...... Articleship Exposure is necessary only if you want to go for Practice or to get a job in Audit Firms. If you want to work in Corporate Sector, Articleship training is irrelavent, Because the work in Corparates is totally different from the work that we learnt in Audit Firms.

 

But If you want to work in Big 4's, they may check your Practical Knowledge and your Articleship Training .

 

My Suggestion is If you want to work in Big 4's, After finishing CA, You can join initially in some Reputed Audit firms in Metropolitan Cities as an AUDIT ASSISTANT and learn everything practically and then from that Experience you can move on to Big4......
