Dear Admin,

I am having doubt regarding exemption from capital tax u/s 54, pls solve my problem as soon as possible......

eg.,  A person have sold his residential property in April, 2012 for which he wanted to get exemption from the payments made for the purchase of a residential flat from the year 2010 february.. but in sec 54 it is clearly mentioned that one can get exemption if the capital gain amount is invested one year before of two years after the event of capital gain happened..

Pls... help me to know the correct answer
