Cancelation of Excise invoice shoud be intimated to Range Suprintendent on the same day if possible.In exceptional circumstances, intimation can be sent next day. This only as per administrative instructions and there is no such provision in rules

Please refer RULE 11 of the CENTRAL EXCISE RULES,2002, as per which

the original invoice has to be sent to the department. Cancelation of Excise invoice shoud be intimated to  Suprintendent on the same day or if not possible on the next day
