Can ca sign on unaudited b/s

If an auditor signs the financial without audit it will be considered as professional misconduct  

A CA may give a projected financial statement unaudited. And if CA is employed and is a director he may sign on behalf of the Board. But why would someone come to an auditor for a sign if he needs an unaudited financial statement??

Its not professional misconduct, he is not using his profession at al? Whats the point in signing an unaudtied financial statement by an auditor. THat sign has no value.
