Dear Friends the days are gone when if anybody passed out CA final exams he arrange party for friends & relatives, his parents didn't feel proud of being guardian of CA rather today they get worry for his future. After so long study hours during exam days will their son get good job or not. Me before being CA was only worried about getting CA degree but now more worried about getting set for future. Now i will explain one practical example of CA Vs B.Com student.

I cleared CA final in January 2012 and joined CA firm (after trying all jobs in industry ) at Jalandhar. That time i think that as i am fresher so cant get good job in industry so decided to gain experiance with any CA firm . I joined it on 1st April 2012 .I was offered salary of 15000 per month which was below my acceptation but i  accepted thinking that i have to think long run. I found one Part time Accountant there who had done B.Com with me and thereafter he gained experiance for account work whereas i go for CA. I surprised to hear that he is earning 45000 per month by just doing part time accounts. I again accept it thinking that he has good experiance . His schedule was so busy and he manage to do 15 companies part time account work. ( so hard working) . Now i again found that he used to provide services like apply on PAN No, Vat Registrations,VAT returns ,TDS returns, Service tax returns which gives him other income of 12000-15000 per quarter. Now i decided to compete with B.Com .

Now i also starts writing books of 4 units which provide me 3000 per month (after my job time) . When i go for book writing other B.Com who does part time accounts work told me that it will degrade ur profession.

I want the suggesstion that if a B.Com can do all works that a CA will do then why a CA can't do a job of accountant.

please provide ur suggesstions.

hey..

you are aiming for big thing, dont settle for less..

in the begining it may be lucrative, but in long term a CA with 3-5 yrs exp will be drawing more salary than that of B. Com with 15 yrs of exp.

And also slary is not only dependent on Degree, personal expertise & other qualities do matter..

Thanks..

Fully Agree...........................

Agreed with vaibhav, a CA with 4 - 5 years experience will draw much more than Bcom with 15 years experience & with CA there is also respect which is there for life..

Agreed with vaibhav

In Punjabi We say Lahore Fudu Pashore Fudu, fudu remain fudu whether b.com or C.A.

I appreciate your decision to join a CA firm to gain experience...........

from here you have two options.........

1) Gain experience to start your own practice in future. ( as you are working as an employee not a partner ,you can apply for certificate of practice to practice individually to sign tax audits , school audits, college audits etc )

2) Start preparation for competitive exams of PSU's or other private companies .

Don't waste your precious time for those kind of jobs which don't have any future.

THANKS ,

SUVAJIT.

Do not be frustrated . There is saying in Cricket " Form is temporary , but the Class is permanent".

But when you are a CA your fudduness has decreased, its just bad luck. But a bcom is a certified fuddu unless he does something extraordin ary. As for degrading your profession he is just making sure you are out of his competition because you will definitely  take his work too. Many people start their professional by doing accounting work and then go on to set up a successful practise. Dont listen to him, just do it

C'mon....its so lame to compare a graduate with a CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT. why are we always driven away by the monetary claims? completely agree, now the myth has changed regarding CA...!! many are opting CA as their career, but guys remember the world is also growing...rather at a very accelerated speed.the number is going to increase mn increase...!! Todays world is of specialization...change your perception ...look beyond salaries and perks and focus on your skills.CA IS ONE OF THE MOST OUTSTANDING CAREER ONE CAN HAVE.ITS NOT EVERYBODY'S CUP OF TEA. just be patient and think beyond money, once you develop yourself ,money is going to run behind you like anything...!!!

Plz don't compare CA with any graduation course. Professionalism is increasing and day by day value of b.com will get decreased....CA is a reputed course and a Chartered accountant is supposed to maintain its dignity. If u compare in monetary terms, then u can see even an intermediate person can earn more than a CA. As said by vaibhav, there r many other qualities and experiences are required for being a perfect candidate.......U can say there is a tough competition in market and its not only degree wich can give gud jobs.

Yes, in line with other employee in the organisation..

dont underestimate yourself

believe in yourself that each day you are learning somthing new

and your hardwork will definitely pay you with time

but u can do work of audit which that B.com person cant do
