Hi,

I have'nt been successfull in getting a job yet. I cleared in MAY 2012.

Please its a request..

Any Seniors and Freshers too if you have any job openings at your workplace..Please inform me.

I stay at Mumbai.

Its really depressing now to search for jobs on all job portals, apply everywhere you can and still not get calls for quality job profiles..

I want a job in Finance / Accounting domain.. Is it so difficult to get a job nowadays without reference for Freshers?

Will surely let you know if there is opening. Yes it has become very difficult currently to get a job due to high passing percentages of CA and also due to Recession. Dont get depressed and just think positive. You will get a job soon.

All the Best.yes

Don't get depressed if you are not able to get job it might be due to

Not being updated with latest development

or

Personality wise and communication wise you need to improve

You should join any small CA firm till you find job somewhere else............

Thanks..!

Im not that bad communicaton wise...

And Im trying to be updated with all the recent developments..

But Its not like Im getting rejected in Interviews..

There arent ant suitable openings to apply for..And when I apply I dont get many calls..

Apply job based on you skills......... if you apply the job that does not match with your skills or articleship experience than company might not be interested in calling for interview.........

Its true that good jobs are difficult to find these days. There are jobs available but they are filled by references. I have myself changed 2 jobs in the last 12 months (I cleared in Nov 11). I got both jobs through references, so build a stong network and You should get exposed to decent opportunities.

Me too same problem, even i have applied online but its of no use, ya its true nothing will work without reference, to get a job u need to be shifarishlal (reference). I have even called up many ca firms for any opening, everyone says maf karo no job.I think it is almost impossible to get job in India if you are fresher without reference. If anyone knows abt overseas placement firms please inform me. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Dont Worry. Just try to attend as many interview calls as possible. Even if the position being offered is not of your preference, do attend the interview. This will help you to get some experience on how to face interviews. Dont be much choosy, as the overall atmosphere is not so conducive. I dont mean that you accept any job below your level, but dont reject a job just becaase it is not your "dream job". Sometimes, it does take a little longer to get what you want, but till then, just hold on...

You should not remain dependent solely upon job portals.. Though job portals are a good means of convincing yourself that you are doing your bit to land a job, but they don't yield the kind of results that is shown on their homepages and thus, drive you towards disappointment..

Instead get in touch with and identify yourself to consultants or RPO's (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) like MAnpower group, kelly services, abc consultants, adecco, randstad etc and there are lots more of them..

Try and get contract jobs. Though, it will be for few months only, but you will have experience in that organisation which may get you a permanent stint over there after the expiry of the contract or later in future (though obviously depending upon your performance). And these consultants can introduce you to a good number of contract jobs. References always help, but they are not the sole methods of getting a job.

Even I am working on contract and getting paid more than what a fresher Chartered Accountant is getting on average ..And it was through these consultants only that I got the job.

That being said, you are living in the city that is epicentre of the financial activities. So, make the very best of the reach that you have got. Its only a matter of a few steps that will take you to the path towards glory..Good luck and all the very best for your endeavoursyes

I totally agree with Shrishti.

Same is the case with me.

I have cleared in May 12. Looking for job in Accts & tax domain in Mumbai.

Pls inform me too about any job openings.. ank.work05 @ gmail.com

Its really depressing.

Thanx in advance.

u can try for placement consultants...
these pple have direct links with the Hr's in Companies and they can get u through.

till den u can join any mid-sized ca firm...

btw - i myself cleared  in may 12.. left ma previous job and looking for a new one...

even i am planning to go to consultants.

There is no job for CA. Most of the ca are passing on or after after may 2011 are unemployed or under employed. Even experienced CA's are not getting jobs. Severall CA's are frustrated/depressed due to not getting job.Earlier there was good opportunities after passing CA.

You may discuss with your central council members/president/vice president about the problem. Currently CMII (Committee for members in industry) chairman is Vijay kumar Gupta. He has made several promises about job problem during his election campaign. Now he has won election. Ask him what he is doing or planning to do to deal with this problem. You may contact him at- vkgupta2004 @ yahoo.co.in, chairmancmii @ icai.in.  mobile- 9810050029
