AUDIT - SURABHI BANSAL / PADHUKA

LAW - MUNISH BHANDARI + HANDBOOK

SFM - S D BALA

COSTING - ?????

ISCA - MODULE + DINESH MADAN

PLEASE NOTE THAT I WOULD LIKE TO SELF STUDY.

MAIN CONCERN IS OF COSTING ,ACCOUNTS AND FM. THEREFORE PLEASE SUGGEST GOOD BOOKS WHICH EXPLAIN METHODS AND ILLUSTRATIONS INSTEAD OF DIRECTLY SOLVING THEM.

Best Regards

i gave nov 10 & as per my personal experience i'd recomend d following

AC- mp vijay kumar- if u wish check any attempt all questions are from it, even nov 10 1 valuation q's never askd b4 was n d same bk., DO NOT FORGET TO DO AS 30,31,32 AND IFRS, INSTITUTE IS GONNA ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS FROM HERE, THEY'VE STARTED WID OUR ATTEMPT

SFM- I FOLWD MY CLASS NOTES FOR PRACTICE, I THINK THEY WERE GD, COZ I'Z ABLE 2SOLVE ALMOST ALL PROBLEMS. for theory try n get aditya jain of delhi theory notes, its superb for theory+it gives u quick formulas for revision.

Audit- Don't buy vinod agarwal, coz it's not gd for last day revision looking at d technical language, i bet on d last day, it's quite difficult 2 remember such complicated words, BETTER GO FOR PADUKA & PADUKA audit standards.

law munish bhandari is superb, on d last day just do d prvious years questions, reason for nt studying from handbook on d last day is dat u get 2 know exactly wat all 2write n d answers.

costing- paduka, dnt know about other bks, i followd it n pcc also.

isca- paduka again, coz language of anwers expexted wid d technical words by d checker is given n dis bk only, else module is gd.

dt & idt- i followd bangar (for both dt & idt) with compilations, but being attentive n d class is d most imp thing, max q's u are able to solve will b basd on hw clear ur understanding of d subject is. for dt case laws make ur own small notebook with a brief about d recent & landmark cases.

over & above bks practical experience in office helps u n exams.

FROM WHICH CITY?

WHERE WE WL GET THESE NOTES

Hi Friend,

The following are the best books. Please follow this. It will be very useful for ur exams. I am writing this bcos of my experience:

1. Financial Reporting - Follow Praveen Sharma. Do not follow MPV because the answer as per his book and the study material does not match most of the times

2. SFM - For this subject you need to see lot of problems. The best book for this can be a workbook given by any good coaching centre. Do not follow any reference book as it will contain the same problem again and again. Also see all the problems given in the study material and the compliation

3. Auditing - Surbhi bansal is the best. Just support it with some class notes by a good reputed coaching centre

4. Law - Munish Bhandari handbook is the best. When u have any doubt then only touch the big book. Also whenever u read make note of important points like monetary limits, applicability, penalties, number limits etc. Also make a list of case laws. Writing case laws in exam will give you great advantage. And also the number of caselaws are also limited. They should not be more than 50.

5. Costing - Follow any book other than Padhukas. This book contains only the same type of questions and it willl be really dificult to read with this before exam

6. ISCA -  I think study material is the best. For reference read Manish Valechha book. His book contains some memory codes which can be used for the exam. Also make a summary of every lesson in a ten minutes audio. The audio will be really useful before exams and also during daily revisions. Hear the audio daily in order to remember this subject.

7. Direct tax - Follow any book other then padhukas. In my view the best book is V Gupta. But Manoharan and Bangar are also best. Also read the amendments and the recent case laws atleast 5 times before the exam. Do not start reading the amendments just the day before the exam but read them well in advance. Also make a gist of the case in 2 lines containing the important principle in the case which normally start with the tribunal/HC/SC has held that "..........". There is no need to remember the name of the case

8. Indirect tax -  Read both main book and the compilation of Bangar. The book is the best one. Also follow the same guidelines as in DT for amendments and the case laws.
