CA Final Old Syllabus

First and foremost, hearty congrats for taking an excellent decision of pursuing your CA Final Exams. The responses to your queries are as under :

1. Is there a restriction for no. of attempts for appearing for CA Final Exam? - There are no restictions on the number of attempts.

2. Can I appear under the old syllabus  for CA final in May 2010? - Yes. You can.

3. How many attempts are left for CA Final exam under the old syllabus? - There are 2 attempts left , the penultimate one being May 2010 and the last attempt is the Nov 2010 exams.

A friendly piece of advise : Please buy new books for all the subjects as there are many changes. New Accounting Standards have been added, the Standard Auditing Procedures ( SAPs as these were known ) are now christened as Standards on auditing ( SAs ) and quite a few new ones have also been introduced. Also for MICS , the IT Act 2008 is applicable instead of the erstwhile IT Act 2000

Fully agree with Mr. Bharat. Without wasting a moment; plan you studies after getting the latest modules issued by the Institute. Remember -

1. Make modules as your base of studies

2. Refer compilation of at least 15 years.

3. Have at least one reference book of each subject. So that if a particular point is not clear in the module; you can clear it from the book. Books are also required to understand practicals.

4. Ask yourself after covering the syllabus of a subject; whether you are confident ?

hey friends can any one clarify the subject matter difference between the mafa (old course ) and sfm ( new course) what are the new thing introduced and what are the things that are deleted from the syallabus...
