Dear All,
We are shifting our manufacturing operations from Mumbai to A.P.
Our factory is registered under excise at Mumbai and we wish to transfer the same registration to A.P. instead of obtaining a new registration can we do so ? if so by virtue of this whether all the records will get autometically transfered including CENVAT available at Mumbai factory.

No , You can't do this, you have to take new Excise Registration, for new location, and surrender your registration certificate at Mumbai Excise Dept. if you want to transfer the Cenvat credit of Mumbai plant to new plant, so first you take new Registration, and sale the stocks, Machinery etc (Input or FG, Capt Goods) from Mumbai plant to new plant . then you surrender the registration of Mumbai plant.
