C.a final costing theory - which notes or book??

There are so many options available for COSTING (ADVANCED MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING - C.A FINAL) THEORY...

Reliance Compiler... Practice Manual... Parag Gupta Notes.. Sanjay Agrawal Notes.. And Many Others...

But there's no MAJORITY opinion as to the choice of the author...

In the past few attempts, Costing theory has proven to be the deciding factor for many students appearing for 2nd group..

Costing THEORY is ALWAYS a TRICKY affair for many students..

So, can you please suggest the best way to go about it? Best notes or best book??

Reliance Compiliers & Practice Manuals

Rely on institute's material..

study scanner for the same..

theory questions will be directly asked from institute material. just see the past papers and assess a trend. no need of other material for theory part.

as per my knowledge is baar costing ka paper easy aayega for may 2013 bcoz picli baari sabse tough aaya tha so just go for practic mannual and theory

Need not refer any other books if you just learn the theory from practise manuals. See last 5 attempts paper and compare you will find almost all questions from practise manuals.

Go for P C Tulsian's self study text book.

It is best for theory as well as practical.

Padhuka in selected chapters n practise manual

The Institute study material is excellent, eventhough i have failed i got 52 in costing with that material.Study material is comprehensive and for problematic part you can refer P.C Tulsian there are 645 solved problems in that book.

I think u should prefer notes of that teacher only from where u have taken your classes. It will facilitate better understanding.

Always prefer module for theory, not only for costing but also for others like SFM, Auditing, ISCA.

dear friend

Dear Darpan Sharma you should always stick to ur teachers notes/books whether it is Parag Gupta or Sanjay aggarwal...bcoz u may have generated a comfortable zone with that teacher's methods, teaching env. etc...go for ur teachers books...and if u havent taken any classes then u may refer any book cause that wont make any difference

I am doing SELF STUDY for Advanced Management Accounting!!!

Costing theory by hariharan is a good one. Around 100 pages. But it covers only the costing part and not OR.
