Dear All,

I am a member of CMII that’s why I have a right to give my suggestion to the committee for the Budget. But I would like to share this opportunity with you.

You guys can post your suggestion in this forum for the budget, which I can put in front of the committee and they can put in front of the Ministry of Finance.

1.ABOLISH SECTION 50C 2.AMEND THE SERVICE TAX PROVISION TO DEPOSIT THE TAX OF LAST QTR ON 31ST. MARCH 3.TRANSPARENT SCRUTINY SELECTION SYSTEM. 4. REDUCE THE PENALTY 271F from Rs.5000.00 to RS.500.00 5. EXPLAIN DUAL GST 6. ABOLISH CST FROM 1ST APRIL 2009 7. ELECTRONIC FACILITIES SHOULD BE MADE OPTIONAL. - CA SUDHIR HALAKHANDI

It is better to reintroduce Standard deductions as in earlier years. This will give some relief to the bonafide tax payers i.e. Salaried class. Some more incentives in the form of exempted allowances as presently only HRA, EducationaL and Conveyance Allowance. These are worth nothing.
