A company reimburses/directly pays to the Employee/Employee's broker brokerage towards a new house taken for rent ..
Would this be considered as a perqusite? Pls clarify!

Since perquisite includes any sum paid by employer in respect of an obligation, which
was actually payable by the assessee, the brokerage paid in this case is a perquisite
Rent paid by employer on behalf of the employee is perquisite, including the brokerage payable to the broker in the course of the deal.
