well, when bonus shares issued passed in agm/or any,

then one record date also given, if on that date ur holding shares , then u will be definately a part of bonus.

wheather u hav sold after that date or not.

yes u need to hold shares till the record date and also on the close of that day u need to have these shares in your name only. no probs if u sale after this date

Dear Rahul

It is a contractual arrangement between the buyer and the seller whether the transaction is "cum bonus" or "without bonus".

However, since in your illustration you have given the example of a listed company, therefore the transaction would be guided by the rules of the market. Generally, within 2-3 days of the record date, the market discounts the bonus issue, which would be reflected in the price of the scrip itself. If prior to bonus, a  share of reliance was worth 1000 then 2-3 days after the record date, (assuming 1:1 bonus) the price would come down to a level around 500 taking into account the bonus issue.

Hope it helps you.

Cheers

Madhav

if on record date you are holding shares then you will get bonus... and you can sell anytime of settlement of the bonus because after bonus is declared shares will get in your account by two to three days.. after which you can sell any..

First answer given by Ayush is Original Shares and Other three answers are Bonus Shares given on different time in different proportions.

Annual Bonuses Is The Time For Wise Money Management

The month of annual bonuses seems like paradise when we start planning in advance on how to spend it. This excitement will get us into impulses of spending on things that give momentary pleasure only. This leaves us regretting for our decisions later. Wise money management and productively using annual bonuses will help us to take care of not just present needs but also of future needs and contingencies.
