Is there any relief for small companies in holding board meeting?

A small company may hold only two board meetings in a year.i.e.one board meeting in each half of the year and the gap between two consecutive meeting shall not be less than 90 days.

Here,year means a calender year.
Thank you
can you mention the section
actually it is not mentioned in any section of the Act.it may be mentioned in rules or in notification.
SORRY I can't recognise where it is mentioned, but it is.
sec 173 specifies this

If the company holds 4 board meeting , then what about minimum gap of 90 days between two consecutive meeting, will it be illegal if 2 meeting held with 60 days
