In 2018 one party had supplied the goods to second party. and now in 2020,march second party is saying to one party that your credit is not reflecting in my GSTR 2A so I will give u debit note for tax amount which is high amount.

Actually the first party had filed it's gstr 1 with wrong party name in July 2018.

is there any way out for this?

If invoice is issued correctly thn receiver can take credit on basis of invoice
1st party have to file again with right name and rectified the old name .
But 2020 can he filed again whereas supply had taken place in 2018.
In 2018 , the Rule 36(4) was not in force , hence the credit can claimed for those invoices also which has been not reflected in GSTR 2A of Receptient.

The Supplier can give undertaking to Receptient stating that the tax for that invoice already being deposited in GSTR 3b .
