Articleship completion

There ll' be no issue..u can re- register within 30 days from date u took transfer.

N form 108 has to be submitted in same region.
Like, u completed ur articleship from Mumbai i.e Western region then u can submit ur Form anywhere which comes under Western region.

There is no issue with the gap of one day but you will have make sure that in aggregate you are serving three years.

I guess you will have to submit the articleship completion forms at Mumbai centre only.

Regarding extension suggest you to ask for offpaper extension and serve under the same principal later. If will save you from filling extra forms. Speak to your principal.
Else extension can be served under same or any other person. For procedure you can search online and then call up at the institute and ask.
