If we think on prudent basis exam leave of Six months as per your thinking may not be the practical way and you might have taken the leaves earlier too and by adding those all the leave it may be exceeding the limit of 1/6 of total articles period might be creating the obstacle in your case

Hence, it may happen that your principal may be true on his own way but may i have some more clear idea of your leaves and which level of exam are you appearing and in which month you have not cleared in your query kindly reply for this so that further help from me would become more easy for your query

I am appearing for CA Final in November 2011 with both Groups as of now..

I took the leaves granted to me by him in CA PCC for 4 months and mite be for another 2-3 months in whole in the other time..

My training is ending on 30th June anyways and he has been very linient to others in my office but the same cant be put infront of him by me..

I dont need any extensions to be done..

The transfer rules for an articles is also available in the very first year of the articles which is now not available for the help to you.

on the other side the avg laeves been taken by you is already upto the limit of the leave can be available at an avg to all students

I advise you to complete the month of june which will also complete your respective articles without any obstacle or extensions

as almost everywhere very limited time being given for CA Final Exams, kindly keep the time of your attending office regular and dont let your work become such that you need to pay more time and less to study.

In your case ur CA can definately extend your articleship period since you have crossed the limit of 6months(maxx leave allowed)....

Nd further u cant do remaining or extended period in another firm since ICAI doesnt allows transfer in last year of training

so at last the final option with u is, just give some senti shots to your boss(i mean you can only ask him for favor now)...

nd dont panic now just concentrate on your studies yaar 

u can continue the extended period after exxams na so just ask him to extend as low as he can ok!!!

As per regulations a student is required to work averagely 5.5 hours a day, but in all the offices articles work normally for 8-9 hours a week and as per the regulations if a student work for more than  stipulated time in a day, then he / she is entitled to adjust the extra hours served against the balance period of articleship. The calculation is basically done on the basis of days, but a student is entitled to extra leave on the basis of hourly calculation. So if you have worked for 7-8-9 hours during your articleship,. then you can politely explain your boss this rule of ICAI and request not to extend the articleship. There is no other way than to explain and request your principal. You may talk with your parents and ask them to talk with your principal. It will help more if your parents will talk than you talk.

carryon attending office till june. just request to ur boss to reduce the daily working hrs so dat more time on study be available. dont worry after june u can do enough prep 4 nov exam.
