Are job portal better way to get job ?

Yes, 

I have tried online portals for job and I got a great company.

 

I didnt expect such big company to hire me.

 

By online portals, you get more exposure, your resume is reviewed by larger base companies.

@ Bhargav; did u get job and remuneration as per ur capacity? Which Online portal helped u bag the offer? I am sure it can't be icai job portal which is worthless, as per passed out students.Recruiters search for ranks,first attempt pass; and bcoz of this dummy passouts gets preference.

Though the remuneration was lower than my expectation but that was only due to my

lack of negotiation power. Otherwise, I got a good deal as per my capacity.

 

Naukri, monster are the most effective sites. Timesjob comes third for me.

Actaully when you talk of Job portals and try to apply online than it is useless. Every portal has there special customers paying around Rs. 3000-5000 per annum.

For e.g. in times job and monster. If you pay certain amount than you will be selected by good companies. Definately its working. So try to be member by paying certain amount and it will work...

I will agree with Bhargav as i also got MNC a very good companya nd very good pay through job portal only.... In any case if they refer a right candidate then they will get good amount from that company in case candidate has been shortlisted.

Definately they are free for everyone.. . but if you want nice response, than you have to become premier member by paying certain amount.

Yes definately..... but many are not aware of this memebership and we keep posting and checcking mails from monsterjob or times job which are hopeless ...

bro; u musta have heard icai prez saying that CA students should do graduation courses from correspondence with whom they have done tie up. So if a student who has passed in 1st attempt, worked for a mid sized firm, and a graduation from say ignou-icai bcom; will he be able to bag good placement in a MNC if he is under special membership of such portals? (from icai placement; that's not possible for sure)
