Are changes in study material (final) applicable for may' 13

Million Dollar Question, No one has any confirmed & concrete reply on This, But what I feel that it would not be for MAY 2013. As the Revised Topics are In January 2013 Prints, However Revised Sch VI is applicable, as It is Included in the New Practice manuals also, & Regarding other Revised topics, No such Circular or Notification / Announcements is also Not released by ICAI, as They have done for Revised Sch VI applicability & also for Service tax Non applicability & Applicability of Negative List & other Topics of DT / IDT, Lets wait for Few days & issue will get cleared by ICAI itself, & also RTPs for May 2013 will be available within a weeks time, & if any questions of the Revised Sylbs & topics are there in the RTP then we can assume that this Topics will be for MAY 2013, else RTP will definately say something or the other in clear words about the Revision of Topics.

It is always advisable to use the latest updated material when you are preparing for the immediate Examination. Any changes effected within six months before the current examination will be applicable and accordingly a student must update his/her material.

There is no change in syllabus as of now but a likely chance of few additions or deletions one must be aware. For instance, the Direct and Indirect taxes material hosted on ICAI's website for Assessment Year 2013-14 is relevant for May 2013 Examination.

In case of any changes/modification in any topic applicable for the current examination, ICAI shall notify the same.
