Well Friends I m into the industry for more than 5 years . I have been associated with few organisations What I feel and whatever feedback I have received from the my friends is that Accountants, Tax consultants are cost centres They are more of an enabling unit ie compliance department. They do not contribute towards growth of the company neither are revenue generators nor are important pillar of the company . They merely add to the cost of the Company . hence they are not entitled to high increments, bonuses etc.
In terms of value creation to the company they always fall behind the marketing, sales, HR , IT , operation and other teams .
Just want to Know in reality are we cost centres ?????
