Appointing Auditor in Statutory Meeting

Can a First Auditor be removed and another Auditor be appointed in Statutory Meeting of a Ltd Co.. If yes pls tell the procedure.

Hello!

Yes, its very much possible.....Have to pass a resolution in GM for the appointment of new auditor and inform about the resignation of prior auditor.

The Company may remove First Auditors, if appointed by the Board of Directors, at a general meeting (including statutory) and appoint in his/their places any other person(s) in compliance of prosions of Section 224(5) read with section 165 of the Companies Act, 1956 as statutory auditors of the Company.
