18 April 2012Can any one tell me what is the criteria for deducting professional tax in karnataka state? also what is the minimum no. of employees to be employed for deduction???

First of all it is not based on the number of employees.
Secondly about the rates you have to collect PT at the following rates
a) if salary is greater than Rs.20000 = 200
b) between 15000 - 20000 = 150
c) between 10000 - 15000 = 100
