A direct quetion on IFRS 6 (without even mentioning the name of IFRS) was asked in accounnts paper just days ago. its clear the insti wants us to learn all IFRS...so definitely may 11 students need to learn full IFRS, as also there is no doubt about whether it will b applicable for corporates from a date later than april 2011, it will strictly roll out from april.
so IFRS is fully applicable for MAY 2011!!!
IFRS are given in Study Material and the question on IFRS 6 was from study material itself.
In my opinion do IFRS from Stdy material as Institute will not ask more than that.

its the Hot n Burning question everyone wants answered...and ICAI has not directly but INDIRECTLY- by asking such question, Has answered it!!!
Institute will defintly ask questions from IFRS in may 2011 but the level of the question you cannot predict, so try to cover IFRS given in study material. I think Institute will ask question on Basic concepts and Difference btw ifrs and indian gaap but nothing more than that.
If u wnt to study IFRS in detail then its good for u and ur knowledge
