Amount transferred to in laws

I am working in US. If I transfer say Rs.10000/- per month to my Father in Laws SB a/c in India, who is already an IT payee, whether he has to show this also as his income and pay tax on this amount.

At the face of it, no.  Since it is only a remittance from abroad and is not a gift either u/s 56(2), since it comes under the exempt category. However, your in laws will have to satisfy the taxman regarding the source lest it be added to their income as unexplained credits.
