I have a confusion regarding the amalgamated Balance sheet. when do we incorporate all the items of amalgamating companies in the amalgamated Balance sheet. In some questions reserve and surplus have not been shown in the new balance sheet and in some questions it has been shown. Please answer. Thanks in advance. :)

The cases in which Reserve and surplus has been shown in B/S are relating to Amalgamaion in the nature of Merger, on other hand where it is not appearing in B/S it is case of amalgamation in nature of purchase.
