Advance license

Advance license is issued by DGFT for import of raw materials for use in manufacture of export products. Consumption should be as per Standard input output norms specified by DGFT. You can make application to DGFT for issuance of adv license with the details of export product by linking them to the inputs required. The actual export also has to happen in the same way as declared in the application which is reflected in license issued. Also the shipping bill should contain the adv license number and consumption details in order to prove the exports made and to close the license

Application for grant of Advance Authorisation as well as its redemption must be made as per Chapter -4 of Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 and Hand Book of Procedures of FTP 2015-20.  The application form for grant of Advance Authorisation is ANF-4A.  The applciation for redemption of export obligation  ( Closure) is ANF 4F which must be supported by certificate from Chartered Accountant and consumption of raw materials allowed for import under the Authorization in Appenedix 4H.  In addition Registration cum Memebership  Certificate (RCMC) relating to product  under export is required to be obtain.  Above all no import and export shall be permitted without Importer - Exporter Code (IEC).  The applciation for grant of Advance Authorization must be filed only online through Digital Signature.  The applicatin fee is 0.5% of CIF value of imports.
