Acquisition of knowledge.

Inspirational 462 views 4 replies

While in the U.S.A., Swami Vivekananda delivered a series of lectures on spiritual knowledge. A rich doctor was greatly impressed. He requested Vivekananda to transfer some of his knowledge to him instantly for which he was ready to give any amount of money. Vivekanand said he did not need money but the doctor should give instant medical knowledge, in return!

The doctor replied: 'It will take years to impart medical knowledge'.

Vivekanand said: 'In the same way it will take several years to acquire spiritual knowledge.'

It takes years of study and plently of hard work to acquire knowledge.

So much true, we cannot transfer knowledge so easily. Spiritual knowledge has to be acquired by ur self experience which no one can just transfer ...Thank you Piyush for the sharing.

Great ........ well said by  both of you.

Just remind me the following lines......

Strike off thy fetter! Bonds that bind thee down,
Of shining gold, or darker, baser ore;
Love, hate - good, bad - and all the dual throng.
Know, slave is slave, caressed or whipped, not free;
For fetters though of gold, are not less strong to bind;

Great Post... Keep Sharing
