Can someone Please Explain me that how Is VAT audit conducted ?

In short what is it all about ? 

what documents are required to be vouched & what all things are to be taken in consideration ?

I would be really very thankful..

Vat audit is something that needs to be done dilligently. All bills of sales transactions need to be cross checked..
