First off all i would like to state that i am a student and iam not from commerce background so i dont know much about tax and stuff, I have a question on my pan card the income i show is the minimum non taxable income that is 99k or sumthing like that.....

Now i want to make a paypal account...for those who dont know paypal is an inertnational service that lets you send and recive money electonicaly...as i was saying i need a paypal account to recive payments from my customers who i sell some digital content ,RBI has made it mandatory in India to give a pan card no to make transections!

My question is if i make any sales and recive payments i will obviously exceed the non taxable limit...will it get recorded with my pan card no?

and if it is so will they themselves sent me a amount which i have to pay as income tax?

or i myself have to pay taxes on the income i make?

plz reply fast i need to make transection soon!!!

and many Thanks for the info that you may give!:)

Do not worry so much.. Have a PAN first, it is not known whether all your transactions will be available with IT dept.. and they do not compute your income, you have to declare and file the IT returns.. in case of any error/discrepency found, IT dept may enquire you , off course in accordance with law..

keep visiting CCI .. good day..

Thanx Sunny....i do have a pan card but i am not planning to show my online income in my tax file.......i know ofcourse that not leagel....but are there any concequences.....????

the money i will make is not much.

if the money which u make is not much, then declare it, as tax rates will come down in years to come. well the consequences are there, w.r.t concealment of income, there are provisions in the income tax act to levy interest and penalty on the concealed amount, off course if they get to know//.. But i advise you to declare such income and conduct the business in a transparent manner, will help the business to grow on a long term.. this is my personal advise.. whatever income u get, save 10 % or 15 % of it for payment of taxes, as the effective tax rate on total income in case of an individual will be less than that, considering basic exemption and deductions available. Consider tax as genuine expense, like how we pay salary to employees, incur electricity and water charges, etc, it is high time we consider tax as a expense only then we wil not avoid paying tax.. It helps u to grow, the country will grow, win-win situation..

Good day:)
