I HAVE SOLD A LAND AND I WANT THE YEAR 2001 CIRCLE RATE BUT IT IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE REGISTRY OFFICE. 2003 RATE IS AVAILABLE BUT IT IS AT A VERY LOW RATE.. OLD DAYS THERE USED TO BE A MAJOR GAP HENCE THERE WAS A HUGE CASH DEAL USED TO HAPPEN. IN SUCH CASE WHAT WE CAN DO, TO GET THE MAXIMUM RATE FOR THE YEAR 2001

Quick Summary
Get a copy of any registered sale deed from Sub-registrar office for the year 2001, & check the stamp duty levied over it.
The only solution is to get valuation report of property as on 1/4/2001.
the valuer must be registered with income tax department.
u will not get valuation of 2001 at registrar office as it is old record

No registry happened at 2001

Valuator itself asking index 2 for valuation report.
I have personally taken valuation report in my case.
See.....valuer must be registered with income tax.
They have standard form which has to be filled by valuer.
