WOMEN STEERING GROUP - THE VOICE OF WOMEN CAs

Recognizing the need to work towards empowerment of women to enable them to make their contribution in the profession, society and their personal lives, ICAI has established a Women's Steering Group with the aim of defining better role for women CAs coinciding with the International Women's Day i.e. March 8. This forum has been constituted to focus on the current status of women CAs and students and to focus on their capacity building and position them as competent, capable, collaborative partners in all facets of professional and allied activities.

THE CONFERENCE EVENT

Women's Conference on WOMEN- TAKING THE LEAD is a full-day program, is going to be held on 29th June in Delhi. The conference is divided into varied sessions important to women today including presentations and open discussions. The event is designed in such a way that it provides an opportunity to individuals who want to share their achievements and gain leadership skills. It is our passion in this conference to rally women leaders, community leaders, visionaries, doctors and women from all walks of life in the nation to share perspectives, experience transformation and cultivate lasting legacies.

OBJECTIVE OF THE CONFERENCE

The objective of the conference is to provide a platform for women leaders to meet, share their views and ideas and form networks through which they may support each other. The conference will seek to highlight the importance of women leadership in ensuring sustainable development, create a network of women committed to bringing a positive change in society, and explore ways to unlock the innate leadership potential within every individual.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Conference registration: Registration will begin from 8th June 2009 to 26th June 2009 between 0930 hours to 1730 hours at Reception, ICAI Bhawan, Annexe Building, Indraprastha Marg, New Delhi-2.

All timing is according to Indian Standard Time (IST).
