If the assessee has taken the STPI registration in the middle of the year, how the books are to be maintained and on what amount can assessee claim exemption under section10B?

Deduction u/s 10B is available only this AY 2011-12. From 2012-13 AY onwards no deduction under this section is available to any undertaking.
