HI folks,
I took home loan 1 for purchase of a Plot with old house, now after 3 years we are demolishing the old house and constructing a new house by taking 2nd home loan.
I am already claiming Principal and interest for the Home Loan1,
I will get the Construction 2nd Home loan in few weeks now( probably by May 2021)
and as you might be aware emi on 2nd homeloan wont start till construction is complete and bank release fund to contractor as required and will charge only interest component to Me.
Question is
Since the property is under construction
in FY 21-22 should i claim this as self occupied/deemed letout/letout? ( i already have 2 self occupied property and 1 letout)
and can i claim interest component in the section 24? or should i accumulate and wait till property construction is finished and then i add up amount and then divide by 5 years and then claim year on year for 5 years?
also the type of property should be calimed as self occupied/letout or deemed let out? because my interest component is around 3lakh, and if i claim self then i can claim only 2 lakh. since this is under construction now what should i claim as? thats the confusion :(
