Hello Sir, I am working with a small organization (employee strength is 40) in Western subarbs of Mumbai. I had submitted documents for IT exemption however the accountant of the company refuses to accept my rent receipts saying I'll have to produce the Rent agreement as well, saying its mandatory now. He claims that he is a tax consultant and is threatening employees to produce the same. I stay in PG and there is no such agreement made. Please suggest what should I do.
