The collaboration will focus on enhancing research in areas related to insolvency and bankruptcy, exploring interlinkages between insolvency, financial markets, and the economy, analysing global insolvency laws and practices, and fostering evidence-based policy recommendations.
An efficient system enables timely resolution of financial stress, balances stakeholder interests, promotes entrepreneurship, and increases the availability of credit at optimal costs, thereby improving economic growth and institutional strength.
IBBI is a unique regulator that regulates insolvency professionals and insolvency processes. It also writes and enforces rules for various insolvency resolution and liquidation processes under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
NSE, being at the forefront of encouraging research on emerging issues for policy making and market development, will collaborate with IBBI to develop an extensive research framework in the field of insolvency and bankruptcy in India.
