The Special Window for Affordable & Mid Income Housing (SWAMIH) Fund has been established to offer relief to homeowners affected by stalled housing projects. To date, the fund has sanctioned 135 projects, representing an investment of Rs 13,191 crore. These sanctioned projects are expected to benefit a total of 86,777 home units, aiming to unblock and complete housing developments.
As a part of #AatmaNirbharBharat Abhiyaan additional borrowing limit of up to 2% of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) was allowed to the States for the year 2020-21, equivalent to Rs. 4,27,302 crore.
