In a tragic incident that has shocked the financial and professional community in Mumbai, a 32-year-old Chartered Accountant identified as Raj Leela More died by suicide after allegedly being blackmailed and extorted over a private video.

According to police officials at Vakola Police Station, Raj More consumed poison at his residence in the Santacruz area. A three-page suicide note was recovered during the investigation, in which he named two individuals - Rahul Parwani and Saba Qureshi - as responsible for his death.

Accused Allegedly Extorted Over Rs 3 Crore

Police revealed that the accused were aware of Raj's high-paying job, substantial investments in the stock market, and personal assets. Over the past 18 months, they allegedly blackmailed him by threatening to leak a private video, extorting more than Rs 3 crore. The blackmail reportedly forced Raj to break into his own savings and transfer funds from his company's accounts into the accused's accounts.

In addition to financial extortion, the accused also forcibly took possession of a luxury car owned by Raj.

Heartbreaking Suicide Note

Raj's final letter paints a heartbreaking picture of emotional distress and helplessness. As per reports, he wrote:

"To my dear one, Sorry mother, I could not be your good son, you had expectations from me, but I'm leaving you alone. May God never give you a son like me in your next life. I have policy in various accounts-take those money and give it to my mother. A big sorry."

The letter concludes with a direct allegation:

"I, Raj More, committing suicide today. For my suicide Rahul Parwani is responsible. They have manipulated me and blackmailed me for months. Final goodbye, Raj More."

FIR Registered Under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita

Based on the suicide note and statements from family members, Mumbai Police have registered an FIR against Rahul Parwani and Saba Qureshi under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita pertaining to extortion and abetment to suicide.

The family told investigators that Raj had been under severe mental stress for the past several months, though he never openly spoke about the extent of the pressure he was under.

Investigation Underway

The case has drawn attention to the growing digital exploitation and cyberblackmail cases involving working professionals. Police are currently investigating digital trails, financial transactions, and electronic evidence to corroborate the victim's suicide note.

Authorities are urging individuals facing harassment or blackmail to come forward and seek help before taking drastic steps.
