ICAI now has its second permanent overseas office in Singapore, with the first being in Dubai, UAE.
CA. Arun Singh, Hon'ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), was the Chief Guest at the virtual inauguration ceremony.
The Singapore office will serve over 1000 ICAI members in ASEAN countries, offering services related to their professional areas, assisting with membership, and fostering good liaison with local professional accountancy organisations.
The office is expected to play a role in promoting foreign investments into India and supporting the export of services, contributing to the re-booting of the Indian economy.
ICAI has a significant global presence with 164 branches in India, one permanent office in Dubai, 37 overseas chapters, and over 26 representative offices in more than 63 global cities across 43 countries.
