ICAI is implementing measures such as increased examination centres, social distancing, regular sanitisation of venues, mandatory mask-wearing, and temperature checks at entry points for all candidates and staff.
ICAI has increased the examination centres from 505 planned for May 2020 to 915 for the November 2020 examination, covering an additional 192 districts to reduce candidate travel.
Candidates can bring a mask, an optional face shield, optional gloves, a personal transparent water bottle, a small personal hand sanitiser, and exam-related items like calculators, stationery, admit card, and photo ID.
Examination centres must ensure all staff wear masks and gloves, provide masks and hand sanitiser for candidates, conduct daily deep sanitisation, ensure handwashing facilities, deploy thermo guns for temperature checks, and manage staggered entry and exit to avoid crowds.
Candidates must wear a mask compulsorily. They should also carry their own hand sanitiser and water bottle. Masks can only be removed briefly for identity verification. Hand sanitisation is required at entry and after using washrooms.
Entry to the examination centre is allowed from 1:00 PM onwards, and candidates who complete their paper early may be permitted to exit from 4:00 PM onwards. Exits are planned in a staggered, room-wise manner.
