The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has opened nominations for the 20th ICAI Awards 2026-27, inviting eligible Chartered Accountants working across industry, business and public service to showcase their professional achievements.
The awards, announced through the Members in Industry & Business Committee (CMI&B), aim to recognise Chartered Accountants who have demonstrated excellence, innovation, leadership and meaningful professional impact.
The ICAI Awards have been recognising outstanding contributions since 2007. Over the years, the initiative has highlighted the evolving role of Chartered Accountants not only in finance and accounting, but also as business leaders, entrepreneurs, strategic decision-makers and contributors to India's economic growth.

Since its inception in 2007, the ICAI Awards have recognised and honoured members who have demonstrated professional excellence, innovation, and leadership across diverse sectors of business, industry and public service. Continuing this proud legacy, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), through its Members in Industry & Business Committee, is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the 20th ICAI Awards.
The Awards seek to acknowledge outstanding Chartered Accountants who have exemplified integrity, innovation and impact in their professional journey, contributing significantly to India’s economic progress and corporate leadership landscape. These awards also serve as a platform to showcase the transformative role of Chartered Accountants as business enablers, thought leaders and nation-builders.
Award Categories:
- CA Hall of Fame
- CA in Public Service
- CA Global Achiever
- CA Business Leader (Large, Mid, Emerging Corporates)
- CA CFO (Large, Mid, Emerging Corporates)
- CA CXO (Large, Mid, Emerging Corporates)
- CA Entrepreneur
- CA Special Recognition (for specially abled members)
Each category is designed to recognise excellence, leadership, and innovation across various professional domains.
Eligibility & Process:
- Open to ICAI Members serving in industry and business who are holding part time or not holding a Certificate of Practice (COP).
- Any member held COP during minimum eligibility experience requirement till the date of filling application is ineligible.
- Application for COP between the date of filling nomination till holding of Awards ceremony will disqualify his/her candidature.
- A person, who has won award in the past, will not be eligible to nominate for the next three years in any category.
- Nomination in more than one category by the same person will not be permitted.
- Any employee of ICAI cannot apply for the awards.
- A member of nomination/selection committee, Jury and process auditors cannot be a nominee for the next 2 years.
- Applications will be scrutinised by independent auditors and the Nomination Committee, and the awardees will be finalised by a distinguished Jury comprising eminent leaders from business and industry.
- The last date for submission of nominations is 15th December 2026.
