Tax revenue (Net to Centre) accounted for Rs. 1,30,811 crore of the total receipts in April 2021.
The total expenditure incurred by the Government of India in April 2021 was Rs. 2,26,690 crore.
Rs. 39,175 crore was transferred to State Governments as devolution of their share of taxes up to April 2021.
Major components of the total revenue expenditure included Rs. 29,671 crore for interest payments and Rs. 37,369 crore for major subsidies.
