The Government has issued a clarification addressing misleading news reports and social media claims about revised LPG refill booking timelines. It was falsely suggested that new limits, such as 45 days for PMUY connections and varying timelines for non-PMUY consumers, had been introduced.
Dismissing these claims, the Government confirmed that no changes have been made to the existing LPG refill booking rules. The current timelines continue to apply uniformly: 25 days in urban areas and 45 days in rural areas, regardless of the type of connection.
Citizens have been urged to avoid believing or sharing unverified information and refrain from panic booking of LPG cylinders. The Government has also reassured the public that adequate LPG stocks are available across the country and there is no need for concern.

Official copy of the clarification is as follows
