The Public Enterprises Survey is an annual report by the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) that details the performance of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) in India.
The Public Enterprises Survey 2019-20 was laid in the Lok Sabha on 6th August 2021 and in the Rajya Sabha on 9th August 2021.
As of 31st March 2020, there were 256 operational CPSEs covered in the Public Enterprises Survey 2019-20.
The PE Survey captures essential statistical data for all CPSEs on various financial and physical parameters, including paid-up capital, financial investment, capital employed, revenue, profit, loss, reserves, net worth, dividend, and foreign exchange earnings.
CPSEs are divided into five sectors: Agriculture, Mining & Exploration, Manufacturing, Processing & Generation, Services, and Enterprises Under Construction, and further into 21 cognate groups.
