YOU CAN

“Life`s battle doesn`t always go to the strongest and the fastest man. But sooner or later the man who wins is the man who thinks he can.”

INTELLIGENCE

To become a “CA” you don`t have to be super intelligent. You don`t have to be a school or a college topper. You don`t have to have an IQ level of 150 plus. If someone tells you that you have to be terribly smart and intelligent to get through, he is terribly wrong.

Remember, back at school often the best and brightest boys and girls chose either to go for medicine or engineering. Few really picked finance by choice. The reason: you need brains to do engineering and medicine while finance is all about common sense. The point is simple: to sail through CA, average intelligence will do. If your IQ is high and you’re Mr.Brains, then fine. But if you are not, don`t bother. What you lack in intelligence you can make up with hardwork.

Actually that`s true in life as well. We don`t know whether you can call Henry Ford, J P Morgan, Albert Einstein, Bill Gates and Dhirubhai Ambani as super intelligent, but their early scholastic performances were nothing to write home about. Henry Ford did not see much of school but he came to be regarded as a genius. Today, no reputable financial firm is likely to hire the college dropout, J P Morgan. Albert Einstein, name by the Time magazine as the Man of the Century, tanked the entrance examination for the Zurich Polytechnical School in Switzerland, yet he authored theories that altered man`s view of the universe. The world`s richest man, Bill Gates, quit college to co-find Microsoft. Dhirubhai Ambani, a man with little formal education, began life as petrol pump attendant, but went on to run one of the largest business empires in India – Reliance.

Moral: LIFE IS NOT ABOUT INTELLIGENCE: IT IS ABOUT AMBITION, WITH “AMBITION” AND “THE WILL OF WORK” YOU CAN SCALE EVEN THE SKIES.

Best of luck

Regards

Balu
