Yaar Ye Kya Ho Raha Hai !!

What happened to this site...!! Everyone is posting replies to get points and get free T-shirt. Even if it means to post some thing like:

"Thanks for info"

"Good"

blah.. blah blah..

This is my first login in about 3-4 months, and I find the quality of the site contents significantly down.. As a webmaster, the idea of Free Goodies for most posts / replies is good short term revenue increasing technique. But if you want to find good quality professionals, than something must be done. T-Shirts are not important. The knowledge is..

Therefore I humbly suggest to the admin, to implement some thing like "Report Bogus". If a user finds a post completely worthless and intended just to get points, than he can click "Report Bogus" button and than based on number of Bogus reported against and by, the post / reply can be removed.  I think there are some opensource plugins for phpbb2 for implementing such report bogus things.

buddy i totally agree with u but on the other hand we cant stop somebody from replying to someone's post if he really likes that by repyling, writing 'good'or 'keep it up' like comments. that only motivates the initial person.

wat i can suggest in this regard is that there can be a button, which when pushed will automatically display that following persons has ranked this post as good one or has motivated the starter of the message to keep working like this in future.

I strongly disagree wit Ramkrushna... i feel the moderator team at CAclubindia is quite active and keeps a close watch on ppl who are posting repeatative things...

i have got certain points to prove it..

1. If u see the points given on replies to forum post have been decreased to 1.. from 3 ..

2. If you have a look at the top members link you would see 90% of them are professionals and not even students. /top_members_list.asp

3. Forum is a place at CAclubindia wer ppl can interact freely without ne reservation.. if u want proper professional opinion they even have experts section for the same.. wer only approve experts can reply.

4. Lastly its not only bout a tshirt and its just not tat.. its a souvenir and a appreciation from the CAclub team for being part of the Knowledge brigade. Even  i have recd one and have never felt it tat way.

I hope i have not hurt neone's feelings... just felt strongly so expressed myself...Aisha

i am agree with AISHA  b,coz u can see that no one can get t shirt only point earned by forum reply .. there is only 1 point for reply and another  hand 10,5, etc  for other, if u post article & others it will have to be for approvel.....

you can see the content of top 30 members is realy good...

I agree with Aisha as well as Mr. Mokashi...

but as i thing motivation is also required and by writing comments like 'good', 'keep it up', someone really appreciate without his own knowledge (if he is writing these all for the Tees).

Aisha is correct that the club india has strong moderator team and is doing well to maintain the quality of the contents and goodwill of the portal.

Good one ha ha ha..................................!

Oops, sorry. My first reply was an appreciation for bringing up this topic.

Dear Mr. Mokashi don't take that personallly, but I do not agree with you. If you think logically, Who are the members of this forum? It's either the professionals themselves or those aspiring to be one. I think all of them are matured enough and know what they are doing. Just because of some people you can't blame the entire forum, which is doing excelently well.

I appreciate your concern for the forum. But my point is that you cannot keep a strict vigil on people all the time. Let them inculcate the discipline by themselves. Let them be independent. Nothing will happen until they realise it.

However some do comment such things as "thanks", "nice"....etc out of sheer gratitude and respect. How can u question them when they are genuine about it.

I hope you will understand my point. Bye.

and now CA Club has also put the souvenirs on sale. so Mr. Mokashi's concern is quite belated. 3  months are a lot of time for things to change. and they have! I think if a bogus blogger wants a t shirt, he may as well buy it rather than writing thousands of 'thank you' s and 'keep it up' s.

So the spirit of this club, i.e sharing of knowledge is safe in the hands of the Admin team.
