Tags in XBRL is something that you apply to the financial statements' element , andd serves the purpose of a dictionary. While, taxonomies can be understood as the content--wise structure of a document, tags are merely to give the precise descripttion about the data. tags enrich the data by facilitating indentification,reporting period , currency etc.
