Wrong rent shown by employer

Hi,

My employer has shown the wrong amount for rent-paid. This has resulted in less tax deduction. I submitted a proof of 8333 as monthly rent but the rent shown in tax calculation is 28500. The amount is so big that it is going to raise eyebrows in tax dept. I do not want to get summons and waste my time thereof.

Since my employer's finance personnel is very unhelpful, I'm exploring whether the correction can be entered somwhere in ITR form.
